Immersive installation, mixed media
Robots are looking for traces of Isaac Asimov in the grass fields.
My great grandmother was from Petrovichi, township in Russia, near the Belo-Russian border that was raised to the ground during WW2. There is nothing left of the place. In the midst of green fields, there is only a memorial stone dedicated to Isaac Asimov, who was born here. The video features photographs of great grandmother, great grandfather, great great grand mother and the rest of the family. Extracts from great grandmother's diary are read by Marina Hakkarainen
Installation was shown at Memory and Landscape exhibition, curated by Jude Cowan Montague, in The Old Biscuit Factory (London).
